I had drawn this in the almost darkness!I pretty much like how it turned out though! XD
Anyway I was thinking of the cursed song that had people scared for a while...I really like the song and yet have I wanted to drop dead!
The version I like is by Artie Shaw.
This is my original character Emily Watterson who is the star of my short story.
Sunday is gloomy, My hours are slumberless Dearest the shadows I live with are numberless Little white flowers Will never awaken you Not where the black coaches Sorrow has taken you Angels have no thoughts Of ever returning you Wouldnt they be angry If I thought of joining you?
Gloomy sunday
Gloomy is sunday, With shadows I spend it all My heart and i Have decided to end it all Soon therell be candles And prayers that are said I know But let them not weep Let them know that Im glad to go Death is no dream For in death Im caressin you With the last breath of my soul Ill be blessin you
Gloomy sunday
Dreaming, I was only dreaming I wake and I find you asleep In the deep of my heart here Darling I hope That my dream never haunted you My heart is tellin you How much I wanted you Gloomy sunday
I that song!!! And yep, I'm familiar with that legend about it being "The Hungarian Suicide Song", and personally I feel the hype is greater than the actual danger. I've listened to it over and over and it is pretty darn sad, but it never made me want to off myself. (But then, I pretty thrive on angsty stuff anyway. ) There's a heck of a lot of stuff on YouTube about "Gloomy Sunday".
Great job, hon! You drew this in the dark? Marvelous!

I understand the BBC stations wouldn't even play that song on the radio...I guess they were too afraid their listeners would jump out of windows!
Oh yeah, all kinds of comments on those "Gloomy Sunday" videos...from the sympathetic to pyschotic. I've even commented on some of them, like that really creepy one [link] (and they told me that music's from the movie Hellraiser, and that's Diamanda Galas singing that---she sounds like a guy).
It seems everybody had their turn at singing it, including Billie Holliday and Sarah Brightman. I think even Bing Crosby took a shot at it!

Quite nice. The dress stripes could use a bit more work, but considering you did this in the dark, I have no negative feelings about it. Teacher gives you A++!!!
